To assist terminal users, and to enhance efficiency within the vetting process, RightShip have developed an automatic VQ approval feature.
What does this mean?
This means that not every VQ will require physical approval by terminal personnel in Qi going forward. There is no additional workflow required for users, just an understanding of how it works and what to expect.
How will it work?
Currently, once the completing party (eg, a vessel owner) completes a questionnaire, Qi sends a notification to terminal users notifying them that a VQ is ready to review and needs to be actioned. Where, even if no rules are tripped, the terminal user must accept/deny the questionnaire manually in Qi.
The new functionality will mean that if no rules are tripped in the VQ, it will be automatically accepted. Removing the need for the terminal user to review it at all. Terminal users will receive a notification detailing the returned VQ and the subsequent approval.
However, should a terminal user request clarification at any point, the VQ will need to be accepted manually, as a means of validating that all issues escalated back to the completing party are resolved.
