RightShip is an independent company and uses data feeds from multiple sources. The loss of the Paris MoU data is not ideal, but we are reviewing a number of options and are confident that we can institute upgrades to our algorithm that will maintain the integrity of our predictive risk rating.

All predictive models decay over time – hence the need for retrains – and so the loss Paris MOU inspection data initially represents a small loss of signal. As such it will not stop RightShip Qi from effectively vetting vessels from this date, however the impact of this absence will increase over time.
