If your vessel is a bulk carrier and it is visiting one of the target ports, then it will be subject to manual vetting. However if the vessel, its owner and management companies have a history of good performance, management and maintenance, then it is likely that the vessel will pass through the additional process relatively quickly.

If the historical review by a Vetting Superintendent indicates further scrutiny is required, the vessel owners / managers may be contacted and a supplementary inspection may be required before the vetting process can finalised.
